Ok folks,here i am again after a week long hibernation...ooops! vacation!!
Had a great weekend with friends at Vegas and Grand Canyon.Though it was my second visit to Vegas,this city never stops to fascinate you.I had 3 full days(actually nights) to spend at Vegas and wish i had more time (not to loose more money) to enjoy!.Still can’t forget the money i lost in poker,the thrill of the rides at Stratosphere,the fountain show at The Bellagio and The Volcano eruption at The Mirage!
While checking out from the hotel, a middle aged couple got on to the lift along with us and the lady started pressing all the buttons in the lift starting from Floor 23 to 1, the husband tried to stop her by saying “everyone on the lift are going to kick you out!”.She replied ”i don’t want to leave Vegas and i am ready get my self kicked out rather than leaving Vegas!”
That’s the magic of Vegas!!
What i like in this city is the never ending night life,especially the fully packed night clubs and what i hate is the people standing on the streets distributing the “Girls to your room” pamphlets to everyone including kids!
It was last December when i visited Grand canyon and i was disappointed to see it covered with snow!This time i was quite happy to see it with out any snow.It once again proves that whatever architectural wonders human develop ,cannot beat the Nature’s own Architectural skills!!

Back Again..
Has been real busy for the past 20 days,actually i took an intended break from blogging!!
yes, you read it right.
Creative writing was too difficult a job for me.so i went back to reading some stuff about it…and now that i have gained some confidence to get back at blogging,i have decided to blog seriously and regularly..
Hope everything goes on smoothly….i.e., i don’t keep on eating your brains LoL!
Journey with a genius!

I can’t remember the day(i was only 8 then),but it was in March 1992 the first time i heard
the track Roja Janeman (of course in Telugu) on Radio! it instantly gave me goose bumps,
was it because it was the first time ever in my life that a song caught me instantly?i was too
young to think about raga's or the so called classical music.Music those days were only on
cassettes and i could not even afford to buy one and my parents were least interested about
music too..here comes the real drama – on my way to school,located a few lanes from my
house there used to be several hoardings and stickers of various new movies playing at theaters
in my city.i used to stare at them each day to see if i could find a picture of the genius who scored
music for that song,much to my disappointment i could not find a picture but got the name
of him – A R RAHMAN.
Few days later my cousins were talking about a movie they watched last night,it was ROJA.What
i heard from them was that the movie was a masterpiece and the music is excellent,But much to my
surprise Choti si Asha became more popular.i asked if they could take me to the movie with
them, they said that their pocket money is over! Disappointed and frustrated, i kept on thinking of
this song which was giving me sleepless nights.
Days,months and years passed by and i was in my 6th Standard,heard my parents talking about a
film that is making a lot of controversies called BOMBAY.I was too young to understand the
controversies related to it,but this time i was lucky enough to get an original audio cassette of the
film which i actually borrowed from my uncle.I started playing the tracks on my 5 year old Panasonic
cassette player and there comes the magic of Rahman!! i was awestruck and could not believe my
ears..a soothing flute theme that was making my mind fill with energy and happiness – BOMBAY
THEME( this remains my all-time favorite).That is exactly when i became a fan of ARR.

Whoohoo!! I have got an invitation to try the new voice service from Google called
as Google Voice
Google has been coming up with so many great products that even the major giants
in the market like Microsoft could not think of!!
Grand Central was re-launched as Google Voice on March 11, 2009 with new features, including
\voicemail transcriptions and SMS managing. Users of Google Voice are able to select a single U.S.
phone number, from various area codes. When a Google Number is called, any or all of the user’s
phones may be set to ring. Which phone(s) ring can be set based on the calling number, based on
contact group, and/or based on time of day. The service includes various additional features, like
centralized voicemail and indexable, automated voicemail transcription, accessible by PC or phone.
Coming to the mobile version of it Google made apps for Android, iPhone and Blackberry.But apple rejected the Google voice app claiming that it obstructs their principles.Though an user of iPhone, one
reason why i hate the apple is it’s policies.Though apple claims that actually it was at&t that
wanted to remove the app from the app store showing it violates the exclusivity policy of at&t.
Jail-breaking is the best thing i have ever done in my life.GV Mobile-an Cydia app that replaces the
official Google voice app on iPhone has the same functionality.Just get on to cydia and search for
GV Mobile!!

Introspection..
Sitting at Starbucks with my
favourite Black Coffee 
to pass the two hour break that i get at work,started
thinking what i learned in the last 3 years in United States.
After an hour of introspection 
, i analyzed few things what Indian students
who come to study abroad do not seem to understand.
We ( including me & excluding the wise) tend to mingle and get along with people from our
home country and stay away from the rest of the fellow students!
We are missing the point that they(or similar) are the people with whom we
are going to work in future.Befriending them only helps us in learning
about their culture,their thinking style,most of all increasing your personal
skills!
Graduating from a School where most of the students are either American/Chinese/Indian
i could hardly remember the names of more than 2 students who are not
Indians(you guessed it right both are beautiful girls 
) , today i see an oppurtunity lost.

feature film with Universal Pictures’ forthcoming romantic comedy, Couples Retreat.
The soundtrack will be released via Relativity Media digitally on October 6, 2009, and
in all retail outlets nationwide on October 13, 2009.
For Couples Retreat, A.R. Rahman has conjured up the sounds of a tropical island oasis
fusing the laid-back rhythms of island music along with his gift for creating golden melodies.
The opportunity to work on Couples Retreat was a welcome challenge for Rahman who
created a score that complements the film’s light-hearted tone with just a hint of his
signature "Indian" sound.
""There are so many musical avenues to be explored," says Rahman. "I’ve wanted to
try new things and for a long time and had hoped to have the opportunity to venture
into American comedy. This film presented a lot of creative challenges and was deeply
rewarding to be apart of. "
KISS - Keep It Short And Simple
During one of my management classes my professor was giving a lecture on several
management techniques and case studies...
One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of
the empty soap box, which happened in one of Japan's biggest cosmetics companies.
The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soap box that was
empty. Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly line, which
transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some
reason, one soap box went through the assembly line empty. Management asked its
engineers to solve the problem.
Solution A:-
The engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors
manned by two people to watch all the soap boxes that passed through the line to make
sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they
spent whoopee amount to do so.
Solution B:-
But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem,
he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc but instead came out with another solution.
He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched
the fan on, and as each soap box passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line.
Moral of the story:-
" Keep It Short & Simple" ( KISS 
) i.e. always look for simple solutions. Devise
the simplest possible solution that solves the problem. So, learn to focus on solutions not
on problems!!

The Day Entire Andhra Pradesh Wept!!
Living far away from the place i had born,from the people i am related, it's
been a tough time for me all these three years!But 2nd September 2009
has been the worst days of all.
Andhra Pradesh and India lost a great leader Mr. Yeduguri Sandinti
Rajasekhara Reddy fondly called as "YSR".
First it was the Chopper he was traveling in was missing since the morning
of sep 2nd and after 24 hrs of intense search operation in the dense forest of
nallamala, burnt bodies of all the five members was what the army could find!
Irrespective of the political parties all paid tribute to this people's leader!
May his soul rest in peace!!!

Life..
Yesterday i was reading some quotes(i believe they make one wiser 
) and found
something by Friedrich Nietzsche "Many are stubborn in pursuit of the path
they have chosen, few in pursuit of the goal. "
i was thinking of it the whole day (i had nothing to do than that ) as which
category do i belong? ,only by 1 AM today i found out i have been stubborn enough
in taking decisions regarding my career and life but none of them had made me
pursue my goal or at least travel in that direction.
I accessed that it was not how stubborn u take decisions but how wisely
u think before taking those decisions!

Iron man.
I am not so fascinated about these superhero movies,but Iron man was
one of those movies that made an impact on me.I personally liked it
over spider man-3.
One movie character that i would like to sketch would be from 300!(especially
the "This is SPARTA!!!!" scene).It was like a classic shot and people will
remember this scene forever!!

I had a hard feeling that i have been missing something when i draw a doodle or
a sketch or a painting.i could not find it until now!!
i drew a lot on mother- child relationship,but not a single portrait of my mom!!
It took me around one and a half hr to finish this little portrait.It may not be
the best of mine but will be a special one for me!! Love and Miss u Mom!!
